Hi I'm James S T Christensen

My dad was in the AirForce and I moved a lot. I love music, reading, movies, and I enjoy DoctorWho. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love music. I played Trombone in my Marching Band in High School and I sang Bass in the several Choirs. I love to read books. The Pendragon series is one of my favorites and the Hobbit has a special place in my heart. I would call myself a gamer. Although I'm not very good, I like to think I have a good understanding of the gaming community and many things therein. That being said, I love spending time with my family. They mean the world to me and I love them dearly. They are my examples and my some of my best friends. They mean a lot to me. I'm sarcastic and like to believe I have a good sense of humor. I never played sports in high school but I love to workout and play soccer with friends.

Why I am a Mormon

Personally, I was born into the church. My parents are members and their parents before them were as well. However, choosing to be a member of the LDS church is a very sacred thing for me. Growing up, my parents made all of us kids go to church whether we wanted to or not. They would often say, "When you're living on your own and we aren't taking care of you, you don't have to go to church. However, since we DO take care of you, you're going to church whether you like it or not." I would often think to myself that "once I was old enough" I wouldn't go to church. I thought it to be boring and lame. I was very naive. As I grew older I had many trials. Some were more difficult than others. I didn't always go to seminary or always choose the right. And I realized that my life was not going the way I wanted it to, I decided to read the Book of Mormon. While I read I felt the desire to pray. Near the end of the Book of Mormon a promise is given that if you will pray to God, with real intent, whether the Book is true you will receive an answer. I prayed to our Father in Heaven and received a comforting response that, "Yes, this book is true." I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. Because of that, I know that Joseph Smith is a Prophet of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ has again been restored to the Earth. I know that I can return to live with my Father in Heaven and that I can live with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I volunteered during high school. Participated in serving the community with my church. In various callings I've had the opportunity to serve people and the community and to show the love of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Presently I am a Missionary for the LDS church serving near México City. I love my faith and Jesus Christ. I'm trying to live my life in accordance with the teachings of Christ and to be the very best that I can.
