Hi I'm Steve Fowles

I'm a native Californian born and raised in San Jose and I am a simple man.

About Me

I'm a husband, father, and grandfather, who is married to a wonderful woman who is very understanding and allows me to have my childish fun. Flying along the foothills and enjoying the view from above is how I unwind and forget the stress of the day. I've worked in the construction industry for over thirty years and still enjoy it (most of the time).

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, and my parents were very active and we attended church regularly. Their example taught me the benefits and blessings which come from leading a wholesome life and following the commandments. However, when I turned 18 and thought I knew it all, I decided to do my own thing. I stopped going to church and used Sunday for doing other things. This went on for over 20 years, and I thought I was happy and life was complete. Then one day our family was visited by two members of the church who were assigned to come and see how we were doing each month. After the second visit or so, their good spirit which they brought into our home opened my eyes to what my family and I were missing out on. From that day forth I have been active in our church again, attending the meetings, serving in different capacities, and being blessed for doing so. For the last 12 years the blessings from being part of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints continue to help our children grow and develop and learn the teachings of Jesus Christ. I look forward to attending church meetings on Sunday, to receive the spiritual insight needed to help me keep things in perspective during the coming work week.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as the membership clerk in our local ward, and I enjoy it very much, as it allows me to interact with the leaders and many members of the church. I strive to be honest in all my dealings with people, and hope the same is done towards me.
