Hi I'm Tori

I love playing sports. I am a student. I love to smile. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Tori. I am a college student studying math education. I am the youngest of four children. Some of my earliest and fondest memories involve me sitting around the kitchen table as a family playing games. My family means the world to me! I love being in the mountains especially roasting marshmallows over a fire. I love playing sports especially racquetball! I love listening to people. Everyone has something special and unique to share with us if we will just listen. I desire to lift others just as Jesus Christ lifts me. I love life and love being a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it is the word of God. I received my answer and I know that this book was written by prophets who were commanded to write God's will. I love the feeling that I get that when I read the Book of Mormon. It brings a peace and happiness into my life that is missing when I stop reading it. I love the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I have prayed to God and asked Him if the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. I have received an answer from the Holy Ghost in the form of peace and pure happiness when I live the teachings of Jesus Christ. I know that Joseph Smith Saw God and His son Jesus Christ. I know that I have a loving Heavenly Father who I can communicate with through prayer. I know that Jesus Christ suffered an incomprehensible amount of pain and suffering for me and that if I will use the atonement and repent of my sins that I will be able to make it back to the presence of my Heavenly Father. I have felt the power of Jesus Christ's atonement in my life. Each day as I try to be a little better I feel his influence and His help. I am a Mormon because it brings me a happiness and joy that I can't find anywhere else.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going and visiting with other women in our congregation. I go and get to know them, see how they are doing, and see if there is anything I can do for them. I help plan activities that will bring people closer to Christ. I organize with a few other women to help meet the needs of the women in the congregation. Whether it be taking a note to someone, visiting them, or doing a secret act of service we try to find ways to help people who may need just a little bit of help. Life is all people so I try to take time to listen to people, to ask them how they are doing, and then act on their specific needs to help make their life a little better or easier to live.
