Hi I'm Terri Lynn

I follow Jesus Christ. I am a happy Mormon. I care about freedom to worship. I work with special needs children/youth.

About Me

I was raised in a loving LDS family. I married my sweetheart, Paul in the Salt Lake Temple. We have been married almost 40 years. I am a mother to 4 children and a grandmother to 17. Family is very important to me. I want to be with them forever. I have worked 21 years with special needs children/youth in school settings and in church callings. My husband and I served as inner-city missionaries serving and helping our brothers and sisters in need. He is now a Ward Mission Leader and I am a ward missionary. I love art, music, and dance. I love traveling to visit my children and grandchildren. I love to go to the Temple. I personally testify of the Savior, His love and grace. I testify that we are all children of God with a personal mission to fulfill. I know that through our Savior we can be at peace even in this time of unrest before His second coming. I know He will come again and will reign on the earth. This gives me hope. I know Christ atoned for me personally. He has saved me. I know the truthfulness of the scriptures including the Book of Mormon. I know that Joseph Smith was the person that God chose to restore his gospel to with Priesthood authority. I know that we have a living Prophet today. If we stand with the Prophet and obey the commandments we will be safe. There is power in prayer. We can live lives of faith, joy and peace. I know as we feel God's love for us the more we want to serve others, and the more we serve other we can feel His love for us.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised in the Church I had to go through a period of conversion in my teen years as I struggled to figure out what was true. I had many experiences with "born again" Christians and from them I learned many things. I truly learned to love and study the Bible with them. What brought me back to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was when I felt the overwhelming love of God for me as His child after many days of fasting and praying to know the truth. I knew that to be a disciple of Christ was more than just talk, but came from required covenants to be made with Him by the power and authority of His priesthood. I knew that God would not leave us alone, but that He was an active and loving God today just as He was in the past. I felt His grief with my suffering. I felt His comfort through the Spirit. I knew that marriage was forever and that love is eternally enduring. I continue to feel His Spirit and peace as I apply the atonement by repenting and living the gospel and by having faith in His great sacrifice for me to bring me worthily, through Him, back into God's presence. The Book of Mormon was written by Prophets of God for our time. It can help us recognize what is happening now and help us in the trials we face today. I know God loves us enough to send us Prophets today to lead and guide us. It is the love of God made manifest in all of these things that strengthens my testimony. It is the Holy Ghost that leads me personally in this quest to be a fully participating member of His Church and to hold up His light to others who may be seeking His truth and love, His healing and forgiveness, His magnificent power to bind us together forever.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith by remembering my Savior daily. After we are baptized we are given the gift of the Holy Ghost. It is my life's work to listen to that Spirit and to obey the prompting I receive. If we pray we can know what He wants us to do everyday to bless others. I live my faith by daily praying and reading the scriptures. I live my faith by loving and serving others. I live my faith by striving to keep the commandments. I stand firmly with the Prophets that live today. God has always had commandments and given revelation through His Prophets. I live my faith by repenting. I acknowledge my weakness before the Lord. I rely on His grace. I live my faith by forgiving others. I live my faith by being willing to stand up for what is right in this perilous time. I live my faith by choosing to be loyal to God and to His Church. I strive to work to keep the freedom of religion here in America and around the world. I live my faith by choosing to live a happy and joyful life because of my knowledge of the Savior and God's love for me. I know I am a child of God. I don't give up!
