Hi I'm Caitlin

I live in San Jose, California. I love traveling and animals. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a family of 8 kids. My house was always loud and crazy, but I love my family and can't imagine it any other way. I have been married for two years to the coolest (and best-looking) guy ever and have loved every minute of it. We recently moved to San Jose, California and enjoy exploring the area and finding fun and random things to do. I have a bachelors degree in biology, I love animals, and I currently work at a doggy daycare, where I get to play with dogs all day and get paid for it! I have a cat named Tazz and a toy poodle named Nefret. I also love traveling and have been all over Europe and the United States, as well as to Peru, Mexico, and Costa Rica.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I grew up in the church, everyone must come to a point where they choose for themselves what kind of life they want. When I left home and went to college and later when I got married, I had to decide for myself if the Mormon Church and the lifestyle I grew up with were what I really wanted. I decided that they were. To me, the gospel makes so much sense. If you live the way Jesus Christ taught, you will not only receive the blessings he promises, but you will have true freedom, which means freedom from addiction and pain. Although life is never perfect, we are never alone. Jesus Christ is always right there to help and support us. Because he suffered and died for us, he knows exactly what we are going through and what we need. I know that our Heavenly Father loves us and he wants us to be happy and everything He does is for our good.

How I live my faith

I currently volunteer as the photographer for the church in our area. I am working on putting together a photo directory as well as taking pictures for various activities and events. Although I am not a trained photographer, I enjoy doing it and it allows me to not only meet new people but also to provide a service. My husband and I are also assistant captains for the church's emergency plan, which means that in the event of an emergency we will check on specific church members and assist in any way we can. But the main way I live my faith is through the way I live day to day. I try to be an example to all those around me by living the gospel every day performing small acts of service whenever I get the chance. Sometimes something as simple as a smile can make a huge difference!
