Hi I'm Sean Shiner

I love to swim. I stutter when i speak. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I've grown up in California my entire life. I've been called on a mission and do not know how to express how excited I am to go and serve. Ever since I was about the age of three, I've stuttered. It's not been easy at all, but within the last year or so, I've come to see it as a blessing in disguise. What's helped is the most is the knowledge i have that there's a reason why i have that particular trial and that it has helped mold me to be a better person by thinking before i speak and by listening. I earned my Eagle Scout award and soon after earned an Eagle palm. In high school I was on the Varsity swimming and water polo team. I am privileged to say I'm a 6th generation latter-day saint and am serving a mission in the Tennessee Nashville Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I've had the privilege of growing up in the church. Yet I had to know if what I've been taught and participated in my entire life was true or if I've been wasting my time. To who ever reads this, I testify that this is the one and only true church of God, our loving Heavenly Father. I know that through Jesus Christ, the Son of God, all of our sins can be forgiven. I am forever thankful for the loving grace of Heavenly Father and everyday tender mercies. I can never deny that this church is true. it has blessed my life forever.

How I live my faith

I'll be the first to say I'm not a perfect person, but that's what the Church is for. Christ has provided us with His gospel to know how to carry out our mortal lives in happiness. I know that as we do as Christ has asked us, to follow Him and keep His commandments, we will obtain and experience that divine happiness. By staying true to our Savior's principles and teachings, as well as following the counsel of odern day Apostles and Prophet, we are not EARNING Heaven, instead, we're actually LEARNING Heaven.
