Hi I'm Diane

I love my family, I love being home. I love sunny days, blue skies, warm chocolate chip cookies and I am a Mormon

About Me

I have been happily married for 39 years. We have 7 beautiful children and 21 adorable grandchildren. We have had a wonderful life together. I am grateful for the majestic mountains and rich colors my home is surrounded with. With each year and season that goes by, I feel that my eyes have become open to the beauty around me. I have come to appreciate every sunny day and each blue sky. I enjoy walking each evening with my husband. I love to work in my yard. I love to bake. I enjoy camping, outdoor cooking, and hiking. I love to sail on our sailboat, listen to soft music and to read. I find great joy in staying connected with our children and grandchildren; and I look forward to our reunions each summer. My family brings me such happiness. I am thankful for my home and for my family. Most recently, my husband Bob and I have been called to be Mission President and companion in Guadalajara Mexico. We are humbled and thrilled to participate with the missionaries and members in Hastening the Work of Salvation in that part of the Lord's vineyard.

Why I am a Mormon

I am thankful for the peace and assurance my faith gives to me. I am thankful to know who I am, where I have come from, where I am going, and what my purpose in life is. I am a daughter of God with a divine purpose and a potential to return and live with my Eternal Father in Heaven one day. I know that before this life, I lived in Heaven with my Heavenly parents as a spirit daughter. I know that I chose to come to earth, to receive a body and to have this mortal experience, where I could choose for myself a path that would lead to happiness and peace. My purpose in life is to follow the Saviors teachings, and repent of my sins, so that I can return to live with my Heavenly Father. I also know that family life is a pattern from heaven. My desire is to live with my family for eternity. My faith helps me understand that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. I have come to understand that He came to earth to Save and to Redeem me and all of our Father's children. I am thankful for His sinless life, and for His willingness to provide an Atonement for us; providing the one and only way to return and live with our Heavenly Father. I know that it is by following our Savior Jesus Christ, His example and His teachings; that we will find the path to return to our Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

Over the years, my study of the scriptures highlighting the life of Jesus Christ, and his teachings, have led me to have a desire to try to be like Him. I have tried to follow His example. I am thankful to go to church each week to repent of my sins and recommit to be better. I have had many opportunities to serve in ways that have helped me to stretch and grow spiritually. One of my favorite callings was to be involved with Primary age children. Children from 3 years old to 11 years old. My favorite thing is to tell them scripture stories and to teach them gospel truths. I love to almost whisper to them and help them recognize the Holy Spirit as those truths are taught . They are precious as they listen and learn. Often they teach me in ways that are gentle and pure. I enjoy serving in my church. I try to live the gospel of Jesus Christ each day. I try to be honest and kind to others, and I look for ways to be of help to and friendly to my neighbors. We are excited for our new opportunity to participate in the Work of Salvation among the people in Guadalajara Mexico.
