Hi I'm Nick

I grew up Washington State. I have 4 brothers. I enjoy tennis and marching band. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'll be serving my mission in Mexico very shortly. I have 4 brothers, and recently we all really got into playing board games together. My favorite sports/hobbies are tennis, marching band, ping pong, and fooseball. I did tennis for four years during high school and marching band for two years. I also played American football for a few years, but it's not nearly as challenging as marching band. I play a bit of the violin and the piano, although I haven't been able to play and practice as much as I'd like to.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I've found for myself that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints holds the true gospel of Christ. My family, including my older brother who served a mission, and other church members have been an important example to me about the power, joy, and happiness that following the gospel of Christ brings. Because of these examples, I've been able to do my best to read, pray about, live the gospel and know for myself that the Book of Mormon is true. I have a testimony that the gospel of Christ brings joy to those that strive to live it. I've seen this in my family, however hectic things can be sometimes. My four brothers and I don't always get along, and my parents, especially my mother, haven't always had the easiest time raising us. I do know that everything my mother has done for us though has been to help us reach eternal happiness through the gospel of Christ. I also know that serving brings an almost unparalleled joy, and that through my mission I'll be blessed as I serve those in my mission.

How I live my faith

It's nothing special, but right now I've been focusing on living the basics and working to become a better missionary. I've been working on my daily scripture study and prayer. I've been looking to help other families with yard work (moving sod is my favorite). There have also been plenty of opportunities to work on patience and kindness towards my family, and I continue to work on becoming as Christ-like as I can be. Pretty soon I'll be able to serve as a full time missionary- spending the next 2 years full time to serve and bring others unto the gospel of Christ.
