Hi I'm Barry

I was born in Orlando. I was raised in Chattanooga. I am an independent film maker. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to spend time with my family. My wife and I have been married for more than 28 years. We have four children. Our oldest is married and she has one child. I am an entrepreneur of sorts. In the last 20 years I have started four businesses. My favorite thing to do is film/video making. I have a BFA in film. Several years ago I received a regional Emmy award for a TV show that I produced and I recently produced a documentary film. I enjoy sports and try to stay active and healthy. I need to as my youngest son is only11 years old and I enjoy being involved with him in his sport activities.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the church as the result of missionaries teaching my family when I was young. My testimony came while I was in High School and was the result of attending seminary and reading the scriptures daily. The witness of the Holy Ghost came to me with such power that I have never looked back or doubted. I consider my testimony as one of the greatest gifts in my life.

How I live my faith

I always try to let people know about my church membership. I often wear a BYU cap which causes people to ask about my affiliation with the church. I currently serve in the presidency of our Stake and have the youth and young single adults as part of my responsibilities. I enjoy teaching the youth and participating with them in their various activities. Church service has been an important part of my life. I served a spanish speaking mission in California and since then have had many opportunities to serve in the church.
