Hi I'm Mikele Stephenson

I'm your typical 19-year-old girl who loves running, being outside, and playing with my family, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a sophomore at Brigham Young University studying Exercise and Wellness. I play the piano and I love to sing. Some of my favorite things to do include hiking, swimming, biking, running, scrapbooking, traveling, laughing, smiling, and playing with my family. My family and I have lived in Texas, Germany, Nevada, and Utah and we've loved living in so many different places. I spent a semester at the Brigham Young University Jerusalem Center and traveled all over Israel, Turkey, and Jordan while I was there. I enjoy talking to people and asking them their life story. I am the second oldest of five children in my family and we love to watch movies, go on walks, and travel together.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and have been an active member my whole life. My mom, on the other hand, was taught by the missionaries and baptized when she was 18. I have loved hearing her conversion story and she has taught me what a blessing it is to be a member of this church as you are growing up. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been my anchor and support system throughout my life. I believe that Christ is my Savior, Brother, and best friend. I have come to know this through studying the scriptures, praying, and pondering. I know that through the Atonement that he performed, I can be made clean and whole. I have felt the healing and enabling power of the Atonement as I've allowed it to work in my life. I also have a testimony of the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith. I know that he translated the Book of Mormon and that it contains the fulness of the restored gospel. I just received my mission call to the Chile Rancagua mission and I'm so excited to share the gospel with the people I will meet there!

How I live my faith

I have served in my ward by teaching young children, the youth, and my own peers in our church meetings. I worked at an LDS Girls Camp in the summer of 2012 and got to serve hundreds of 12-13 year old girls from all over the Salt Lake Valley as I helped them strengthen their testimonies about Jesus Christ, the Book of Mormon, and other gospel truths.
