Hi I'm Austin Scott

Serving my Lord and Savior in the Chicago, Illinois mission. Family comes first. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Born and raised in West Valley City, Utah. My parents divorced at a young age, but instead of looking at it as a trial I have grown tremendously and count it as one of my biggest blessings in life. Becasue of this situation my family is bigger and better then I could have ever imagined! I am currently serving in the Chicago, Illinois mission and loving every second of it! I love to play any kind of sport but basketball is my outlet. I love to be with family and friends but my mother is my best friend and the most Christlike person that i know. God is good. He is my strength.

Why I am a Mormon

This Gospel is not just any other religion, its my way of life. Being Mormon is not just a part of me its who I am. The joy and comfort I feel and the knowing I have recieved from the Book of Mormon and from this Gospel is beyond words. There is nothing that compares. When I was in my first year of college I had an experience that changed my whole outlook not only on college but on life. I remember kneeling down in humble yet fervent prayer and asking my Eternal Judge if he was there and if the things I have been taught throughout my short life are true. The feeling that quickly overcame me I know was from God. This religion, this way of life is the only way I want to live. The only way God has asked me to live. And like Joseph Smith and many others, I will give my life for it.

How I live my faith

I'm a missionary! I spend all of my time thinking and prayerfully searching for others to bring them the joy that can only be felt through and from Jesus Christ. Long after my mission I hope to look back and see absolutely no change. My mission has changed my life and I will always find joy and peace in spreading the Gospel I know to be true!
