Hi I'm Ben

I'm Maori/American. I love my family. I'm currently Serving as a missionary in Utah and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm 19 years old and am number 7 in a family with 8 kids. My American mom and Maori dad moved the family over to New Zealand where we have lived since I was 3 months old. Surprisingly I still retain a fairly strong American accent even though I've only been to California once when I was a kid. I enjoy soccer and fencing, love Japanese Anime/Manga and recently discovered a passion for drama (acting). I like to dabble a bit in cooking and also enjoy reading fantasy and gaming.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints thanks to my great parents. Both of their examples and experiences have helped to strengthen my own testimony. I'm a Mormon because I know that this church is true without a doubt and I know by abiding by its precepts, I live a happier, healthier and more fulfilling life. I know that Christ atoned for our sins, Joseph Smith was and Thomas S. Monson is now a true Prophet of God. Knowing what I know and having felt what I've felt, how could I not be a Mormon?

How I live my faith

Giving service to others is in my opinion the best way I can live my faith. Cooking meals, mowing lawns, chopping wood and many other things for families or individuals in the community is something I've found so much joy in throughout my life and something I'm always looking to do. I'm currently serving in the Salt Lake City West Mission as a full time missionary and I know there is no greater service I can give someone than to help bring them closer to our Heavenly Father and Salvation.
