Hi I'm Durrant

I'm a musician, world-traveler, reader, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of seven children. I live in Texas where the weather is hot and humid all year long, except for the winter time where it barely gets colder than 40 degrees. I like to cook, read, sleep, run, and play the oboe and piano for school. I also love to travel. I've been to France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Mexico, Canada, and to Spain 3 times. I am learning Spanish right now because it was my first language when I was young.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of the church brings happiness to my life and the teachings of the church help my faith in Jesus Christ become stronger. The church teachings also help me live worthily and makes me a better person. I have studied the Book of Mormon along with other scripture, which has given me a testimony of the gospel. With this knowledge, I apply the teachings of the gospel to my life.

How I live my faith

I was President of the 14-15 year old boys' Youth group, but since turning 16 years old, I am now a Priest in the Aaronic Priesthood. I go take the Sacrament to a lady in a nursing home each Sunday with the other 16-17 yr-olds in my group. Every morning at 5:40 I go to Seminary to learn more about the gospel. I strive to help others become closer to Christ like I am trying.
