Hi I'm Tanner

I am an Elder for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, MMA amateur, hope to join the Canadian Military, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an 18 year old missionary currently serving in the Massachusetts, Boston Mission, Portuguese speaking. I love my mission and all of the experiences I have had so far! The people that i have met and the lessons I have learned I will never forget for the rest of my life! After my mission I hope to go to school to study Police Foundations and also take some courses on nutrition and personal fitness. In my spare time I love to workout, and train in my passion, Mixed Martial Arts. I have 3 younger siblings, and over 30 other aunts, uncles, and cousins! Family is a big factor in my life and I dont know where i would be without them.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. With their great values and virtues. I know that this church is an example to the world. I'm a Mormon because I know the church is true and I believe in all the values and laws of the church. Being a Mormon conditions you from birth to lead and to be an example to the world. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try my hardest everyday to keep the laws and ordinances of the gospel. Although its hard and everyone makes mistakes I try each day to become stronger, so that I will be able to overcome the temptations of the world easily and in turn I hope to bring others unto Christ. I have been called to serve in the Massachusetts, Boston mission. This opportunity will help me to help raise an army of god to make our world a better place. The core purpose of a mission is to help "Invite others unto Christ". If thats not a great example of how i exercise my faith than i dont know what is! As I study my scriptures and teach others about the restored gospel of Christ I try to change myself so I can develop the attributes of our Savior and redeemer. With his example we can become great humans and a great example to the rest of the world if we model our life after our savior.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

No, Mormons help everyone! Service is a huge part of our Church's belief. As I have served on my mission I have done countless service activities! Most of the activities were done in non- Mormon organizations. Food pantry's, Blood drives, Shoveling snow, Historical society's, all events that I have helped with so far on my mission. As members of the church of Jesus Christ we strive to become like him. Christ would offer service every chance he could, to anyone he could help! As a missionary of this church I do the same. Not only do I do the same but I love helping my fellow brothers and sisters. Show more Show less
