Hi I'm Kristen

I was born and raised in Texas. I love country music. I'm a convert. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My family never spoke much about religion while I was growing up. And though we never talked about it, I always wondered if there was something more to life. I've always questioned in my mind: why are we here? Where are we going after death?... Is there really a God? As I got older, I tried to piece together the puzzle so I could finally get answers I needed. It was incredibly frustrating to find that nothing helped. I wanted to believe that God existed, but I just wasn't for sure. I continued in a state of disbelief for several years. It wasn't until my senior year of high school that things started to change for the better. I began to go to several different christian churches of several different denominations in order to find the truth. They were all nice churches, but something told me to keep searching. I had a friend from school that I knew was a Mormon. I'm not really sure why, but I really wanted to ask if I could go to church with her. So I did. I then began going to church with her each Sunday. Soon after, the missionaries began teaching me. I remember asking so many question about the church and about God in general. They had finally given me the answers that I had been so desperately searching for. I know without a shadow of a doubt that what the missionaries had taught me is true. I was baptized and I am so much happier and my life is so much better now that I have the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I was just an ordinary person searching for answers. I wanted to know if I had a Heavenly Father that truly does love me. I started from scratch. A blank slate just waiting to be filled. I'm a Mormon because I acted upon the good impressions that I felt. I made the decision to listen to what the missionaries had to teach. I've come to find out that what they taught was true through prayer, and I know that anyone who has a desire to know for themselves will be able to know thorough prayer as well.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing what I know to be right. I'm a full-time missionary and I'm taking 18 months to devote all my time and efforts to sharing the Gospel with others. Why I'm so excited and about this work is because It's changed my life so dramatically. This gospel has made me happier beyond belief! And I've decided to be a missionary because I want to share with others what makes me happy so that they can have happier, better lives as well.
