Hi I'm Nolan

Born in Texas but raised in California, I'm currently serving in Poland as a missionary and loving every second of it!

About Me

Creating and exploring. I would say those two traits identify me very well. Every since I was a kid I'd wander around the area that I lived in, exploring the parks, trees, anywhere I thought was cool. Because of that, I'd often get up into spots that I couldn't get down from much to the dismay of my mother. I was also a Lego-child. I would build castles, ships, any idea that would pop up into my head. I'm not an artistic man, but I thought my Lego-creations were pretty spectacular. I'm passionate about those traits. And because of that, they've helped define my interests. I want to be an Aerospace Engineer. I want to help others explore the creations of God that He's given us, His children, or at least be a part of that adventure. But above all else, I want to return to my loving Father in Heaven. He has a plan for all of His children on this Earth, and I want to fulfill that plan as best as I can so I can return to Him and become like Him. I'm currently serving a LDS-mission in Poland. I want to share with others the joy that I feel when I am living my life in accordance to the example of Jesus Christ. I want others to experience the joy and happiness that I feel knowing that I am on the correct path to God. I want others to know that there is a purpose as to why we are here on this Earth and that if they will just follow the example of Jesus Christ then they will live the rest of their lives, both mortal and post-mortal, in eternal joy and happiness.

Why I am a Mormon

My immediate family has been strong in the gospel since before I was born. I suppose I've never not been a Mormon. That said, I'm no where near perfect and I've got quite a long journey until I get there. One of the most miraculous things that I love about having the restored church on this earth is that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, our sins may be forgiven and we can be renewed. Our guilt and sorrow from sinning can be washed away as we take the proper steps and repent of our sins. Knowing that I can have my sins washed away fill me with peace and joy. Utilizing the Atonement fills me with peace and joy. I know that becoming a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was the most important decision I have ever made in this life. Even though I might have been young and unable to fully understand just how large of a decision it was to get baptized, I'm glad that I still made that decision, because the blessings that have come from it are innumerable.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through serving others. I'm currently a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints serving the people in Poland! I absolutely love it. I've never felt closer to God then I do now. I know that if any of you are capable of serving missions then please do so. It is such as incredibly rewarding experience to be able to serve God like this. Service is always something that's brought joy to me. I take comfort knowing that when I'm serving others, I get to serve God as well! He's blessed me with everything I have, so I'm honored that I can in return share these blessings with others! I live my faith by following the example of Jesus Christ as best as I can. I'm not perfect, but being perfect is something that God doesn't expect of us. He does however expect us to work our hardest in everything that we do. So I work hard as a human being in being the best that I can be and in being a disciple of Christ. I study the scriptures whenever I get the opportunity to. Reading the scriptures fills me with peace; I'm able to find solace and happiness whenever I read them.
