Hi I'm McKenna
I love to play lacrosse, dance, and cook. I am a college student. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.
I am serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Brazil! Before my mission, I played lacrosse for the University I was attending. I love playing almost every sport. I also love to dance. I am the oldest of six kids- two sisters and three brothers. I love my family more than anything in this world!
I am a Mormon because I know that this church is true. I really know it-- not by some fantastic miracle or sign, but by the amazing power of the Holy Ghost, the spirit of our Heavenly Father, and perhaps that alone is a miracle in itself. I know that Christ died for each of us, individually, making it possible for us to make it back to our Father in Heaven again. I know that Christ's atonement has paid the price for all of our sins, and that if we will turn to Him, He will help us through any trial we will ever face in this life. I testify that we have a God who matches every tear we shed with His own. I am a Mormon because this gospel brings me joy and perspective that nothing else in this world can. I know where I can from, who I am, and where I am going. I know that the principles I have chosen to implement in my life have only been for my benefit. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that if you read it with a sincere desire to know if it is true, His spirit witness to you personally that it is. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet, called of God to translate the Book of Mormon through the divine power and authority of our Father in Heaven. I testify of the power of prayer. I know that God hears our prayers, and answers them, in the times that it is right for us. I testify that you can feel of God's love for you and know that He lives through prayer. I love this gospel. I love Jesus Christ, He is my savior, as He is yours. I know that as you make a sincere effort to come unto Christ, you will feel of His love for you. Of these things I testify, with every fiber of my being, with all my heart.
I believe the most important way to live by faith is to emulate Christ. Beyond participating in church callings, I love to serve people. I know that when we serve others, we are also serving Heavenly Father. Every year, I knit scarves and hats for the children at a local organization. There are several ways I try to live my faith, but my favorite method is service.
