Hi I'm Erin

I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. I love life. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am just your typical girl. I grew up with wonderful parents and a strong education. After high school I entered college where I had many opportunities to learn and grow. I have been on a study abroad to Jerusalem and have always had a desire to travel the world. Singing is my favorite thing to do and I also enjoy cooking and trying out new things. I'm not the most athletic person in the world but I love playing sports with my peers and trying my best. I'm about to serve a mission for the Lord and I couldn't be more ecstatic. I am a firm believer that life is to be enjoyed and serving others brings the greatest happiness. My life is simple but I still enjoy every minute.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that is extremely active in the church. So some people might think that I am Mormon just because my parents are. But I have a testimony...and that's why am a Mormon today. Being a Mormon makes up everything about me. Its not just a religion...its a life style. But I am so grateful for it every single day. I am grateful that I know my Heavenly Father lives and that he loves me. I know my Savior died for me and suffered for my sins so that I can come to live with them again. I know that because of his atonement I can become clean and be forgiven for my mistakes. My family can be together forever and I will become perfected in him. I know the Book of Mormon in true and I know the Prophets teach the word of God. This gospel brings light and life to all those who seek it. It brings a joy and happiness that cannot be measured. Without the gospel in my life I cant imagine where I would be. I know with every fiber in my being that this gospel is true. I live it, I love it, and I cherish it.

How I live my faith

I love serving my church. There is so much joy that comes from it. I have worked in many callings such as teaching and working with little kids in the nursery. I feel like there are no unimportant callings. There is always so much that you can do to help the work progress. The one calling that I am most excited for is to be a missionary for my church. This gospel strengthens and blesses me everyday. It brings me so much joy and I want to share this joy with others so they can experience what this gospel can do for their lives. It is a great honor for me to sacrifice a year and a half of my life and dedicated it to sharing and serving others. I live my faith every day. It comes through the little decisions and through the big ones. Because of my faith I choose to dress modestly, abstain from drugs and alcohol and keep myself morally clean. These may seem like challenges in a modern world but for me...its just who I am. I live my faith by striving to be more like my Savior in my actions and in my continence. I strive to be like him and love others and he does. I strive to keep his light and spirit with me at all times. My faith is my life. It is something that is always with me.

In whom should we have faith?

We need to have faith in our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we can do anything. Its because of him that we are here on this earth. Without him we would not have hope. How can we have faith in him you ask? By daily prayer, scripture study and seeking him with an honest and pure heart. He is standing at the door waiting for you to reach out for him. He can comfort you through your trials, help you find answers to your questions and help you feel loved when you feel all alone. We need to trust him and know that he is on our side. He is our advocate with the father. He is the one who understands our every emotion and heartache. Come unto Christ and be like him. It is through that that we find true happiness and joy!
