Hi I'm Jasper

I grew up on a dairy farm in Minnesota. Agriculture is my passion. Wrestling is also a family passion. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest in my family. I have one sister who is the oldest and I have three brothers. My family owns a dairy farm. I also have a few horses. I really enjoy horses, and cattle and working with animals and working outside. I also enjoy working with machinery and fixing machinery. A hobby of mine is welding. I use it quite a bit on the farm. I also did a lot of woodwork in the past, but don't have access to the equipment any longer. Wrestling is a family passion. My brothers and I all wrestled since we were kids all thru high school and a few of us wrestled a short time in college. Next to Agriculture, wrestling is probably the second big passion for us. I currently work for a Case IH dealership, which manufactures agricultural machinery. None of us five children currently work full-time on farm but my two oldest brothers and I are heavily involved during our spare time. I served a mission in Poland. I was excited to serve there, meet new people, learn the wonderful language of Polish and observe the differences in the agriculture there. I miss it very much. I named one of my horses after a Polish friend I met during my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born into a wonderful family. My parents have a wonderful marriage and always have. My family has always been a great support for me. No family is without problems, but I've never know a problem to last long against a united loving family. My family is my greatest treasure. The eternal perspective that my family shares comes from our faith. Family is the central part of the LDS faith. This gospel grants us the ability to be a family together forever. I know my savior Jesus Christ sacrificed his own life for us. So that we may enjoy the many blessings the lord promises us in the scriptures. I know these promises to be true. I have witnessed many blessings from being a Mormon. I've had many personal spiritual experiences that have reinforced my beliefs. I know Christ lives. That thru him we can eventually live with our Heavenly Father. I know God loves us so much he has given us a prophet to guide us. Because he loves us just as much as he loved those talked about in the old testament. He knows our needs better than we thought possible. I am a Mormon because I know it is true. I may not always agree but I can't argue with truth. I could never doubt my heavenly father and his plan for me.

How I live my faith

Over the years I have held a few different callings in our church. In recent times I taught Sunday School to the teenage youth. This was one of my favorites. It always seemed so simple and natural. I enjoy teaching and I enjoy socializing with this age group. Its a great feeling to help make an impact in their lives. Currently I serve as a counselor for the leadership of the mens organization. I consider this to be a little more challenging mostly for the fact that it isn't so simple as being a friend and explaining things to teenagers. While our purpose is still the same, help others draw closer to our heavenly father, we try to accomplish that purpose in a little different manner. It tends to be on a more serious note as we also try to help them with their temporal problem/needs. I'm not real public about my faith. Most who know me, know of my faith and my convictions. I find joy in discussing scriptures and doctrine with my friends.
