Hi I'm Veronica

I'm California born and raised. I love dark chocolate and lazy summer days. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student studying Psychology and Spanish. I enjoy hanging out with family and friends and love to travel. I play sports, read books, and love to sing. I am serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Santiago, Chile for 18 months, and couldn't be more excited!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in God and the restoration of His true church on the earth today. God's teachings have provided me with a hope for a brighter tomorrow. I know who I am, why I am here, and where I will go after this life. When I was younger, I used to be scared of fires. Whether it was a campfire or the small flame on a birthday cake, fires terrified me. As I grew older, I learned that the flame on a candle wasn't going to hurt me and the small fire in the fireplace was contained. I wasn't afraid anymore. That is the same way I feel about my life. I've been scared at times, not knowing what lies ahead, why bad things have happened to me and those around me, but with the knowledge I have of this gospel, I know there is no need to be afraid. The fires in my life are contained with the hand of the Lord. He knows me and knows my challenges, and will help me make it through the hardest of times. I'm not afraid because I know He loves me.

How I live my faith

I try to help others when they need my help, whether it's a neighbor or friend, everyone can use a hand every now and then. Sometimes it may be difficult to take time out of my day to help someone else, but I've learned that when I do I'm a happier person. I live my faith by trying to be Christ-like.

Are Mormons Christians?

Christ is the center of the Mormon religion. He is the leader of this church and we worship him. The atonement has given us the opportunity to repent and be better people and come closer to Him. Christ is our Redeemer, our Comforter, and our Brother. This church is founded on His teachings and direction. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

No, all Mormons are not required to serve a mission. Serving a mission is voluntary and because of that missionaries are completely committed and devoted to serving the Lord. There is no ulterior motive. Simply bringing happiness to others, that comes from the gospel of Christ, is the motive the missionaries have to serve. Show more Show less
