Hi I'm Stephie

I grew up in Southern California, I have three children, and I became a Lds member in August 2012.

About Me

I was raised Christian, I got kicked out of my church when I was 14 because I got pregnant, and that made me a very bad person in their eyes. I slowly lost faith as the years passed and my life just seemed like I was going in circles of bad situations. The only good things in my life were my three sons, I really think i would have ended up dead or into drugs if it weren't for them. In 2011 I met a wonderful man named Tomas, his family is Lds and invited me to church, I refused many times before i finally went, and from that first time on, I started to rebuild my faith, I was Baptized on August 18th 2012 and now my goal is to become closer to our heavenly father everyday. The wonderful man I met, Tomas, we became bestfriends, and now we are Married. He is in the Navy and I am a stay at home mommy like i have always wanted to be.

Why I am a Mormon

It is a long story, but to sum it all up, as I started to learn more about this faith and how family oriented it is, and every question I have ever had, is always answered, and that really stuck woth me, and opened my heart. Heavenly Father has a plan for each one of us, and I did not know that until my plan started to unfold right before my eyes. I have never in my life felt like I belong somewhere, like i do now.

How I live my faith

I would like to participate as much as possible, it is really important to me, that my children learn how to serve in many ways, and learn that helping others is one of the most wonderful things we can experience.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

For me, there was a time that I was convinced there is no God, so many bad things continued to happen, and I just couldn't bring myself to believe that there was a higher power, watching all these things happen, and not helping me. Then I learned to count my blessings rather than the disasters, and I learned more about why people die, and why we have struggles in our lives. I watched my life just go by, for years, then I decided to live it, and ever since I started following Gods word, and praying and talking to him, the blessings are many and the disasters are no longer disasters, just little bumps in the road, that my Heavenly Father helps me through.
