Hi I'm Shaylee Dragon

I was born and raised in Utah, USA. I love laughing, helping others, having fun, and being silly. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love sewing, woodworking, learning new things, spending time with my family and friends, and eating my body weight in brownies and ice cream. I am studying psychology and will graduate in April 2016. I'm hoping to get a job at a Juvenile Corrections Center doing what I love most: serving others.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the teachings of this Church bring peace and hope into my life. I continue to live the gospel teachings and commandments because it brings me happiness and I feel good about myself and about this life. The teachings of the Church answers questions about why we're here and where we're going and having answers to questions like that makes things clear. I have come to know for myself that the Book of Mormon is true and it has helped me in my life countless times. I know I have a Savior who came to this earth and died for me and for every single person who has lived or will ever live and because of that we can all repent and change ourselves and become better people. We are children of a loving Father in Heaven and we have the potential to become like Him. All of these truths bring me peace and comfort daily and make me want to be a better person.

How I live my faith

I love serving and I try to volunteer for projects going on in my ward and community such as cleaning the church building and serving at food banks. Something that I've learned is how important it is to withhold judgement and love everyone. When we can look at every person as a son or daughter of a Heavenly Father, we will treat them with respect and learn to love everyone, despite how different people are. No matter what is going on in my personal life I have the capability to serve others and be an example of the believers.
