Hi I'm Heidi

I'm from Brigham City, I love to play sports, laugh, tell dumb jokes, and make people smile. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm a student double majoring in Music, emphasis on the oboe, and Exercise Science. I love to swim, play sports, sing, and make people smile. I collect dumb jokes to tell friends and try help those around me be happy. I love my family and the gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in the gospel and have always enjoyed the stories my parents and teachers told me about the ancient prophets and the experiences they had. It was so exciting to me. My family would read scriptures and pray together every day which I enjoyed for the most part but there were some days that I wasn't very excited to read. Around my junior year of high school my love for the gospel and my relationship with Heavenly Father began to grow because I had a desire to grow closer to God. I was happier and enjoyed life. The year I came to college was a huge growing experience for me. I was by myself for the first time and I was in charge of the decisions I would make. I began to read the scriptures with a desire to learn from them, I prayed to Heavenly Father with sincere love and faith with a desire to know Him. I served others more, I strove to smile and have a positive thing to think about every day and to focus on the good. This made me so happy and though there were hard times, I grew stronger and happier because I was living the gospel. I know that with the Lord's help, things will work out and that I will come out stronger. I love the peace, joy, love, and comfort that come when I live the gospel and strive to be more like Jesus Christ every day.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following Jesus Christ. One way I do this is through service: giving a word of encouragement to those around me, helping out when I go home, smiling, and fulfilling my church callings. I play the organ on Sunday and strive to bring the spirit through the music. Music is so powerful and I do the best I can to bring the spirit through the music. My Dad has always taught my family to serve others. We would stay after parties or activities and help clean up. At first it was boring and I always just wanted to go home. As I grew older, however, I learned to appreciate the opportunities I had to serve others. I began to love serving others and my love for them grew also. I felt a small part of Christ's love for those I was serving and I loved it.
