Hi I'm Jennica

I love music, the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. I am from Utah, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am the sixth of seven daughters, and it is so much fun! As you might expect, there was more than a fair share of drama (and hairspray) growing up in a house full of girls, but I wouldn't have traded it for anything. I love spending time with my family and learning from their great examples. My dad is a choir teacher, so the love of music was instilled into all of us from a very young age. As such, I love to sing, play the piano, and play the cello. I also love hiking and spending time outside in the wonderful world God has created. I especially love to travel and see monuments and the different cultures around the world. I also enjoy reading, watching and playing sports, and spending time with friends. I just graduated from Brigham Young University, where I studied Political Science and Business Management. Now, I am working full-time and enjoying life to its fullest.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was younger, I went to church because that's what my family did. I always enjoyed going to church because I had a lot of friends there, but it wasn't until I was older that I really understood the reason we went and obtained a strong testimony of the gospel. I decided that I needed to know for myself that the Church was true; I had heard so many people testify of that, but I needed to know for myself. I decided to study the Book of Mormon on my own in my early teen years and each time I read, I was filled with such a great spirit and could see so many things that applied directly to my life. I prayed to know if the book was true, and I received a witness in my heart that the words were true, and I knew they were meant for our day. Ever since then, I have tried to study the scriptures every day and learn about the gospel as much as I can, and I have learned so much! My testimony continues to grow as I study the scriptures and words of the prophets which teach me more about the purpose of life. The gospel has brought so much joy into my life, and it brings purpose to everything in this life! There isn't a day that I do not think about the blessing of the gospel in my life, and I know that it is true!

How I live my faith

I am young, but I have already been able to serve in many ways in the Church. I have held various leadership positions and been able to participate in many of the activities of the Church. I have been able to do a lot of family history work and find many names of my ancestors to bring to the temple to have ordinances performed in their behalf, and this has been a great blessing to me. I also try to stand as a witness of God at all times by keeping my standards high and striving to obey the commandments of God. I love serving others, whether it be through a friendly smile, a plate of cookies, or a letter to a friend in need. I know that my life has been blessed greatly by others who serve me, so I try to give service to all the friends and family around me.
