Hi I'm Audrey

I am college student studying to be a teacher. I love to learn about and explore the world!

About Me

My name is Audrey. I am a college student studying to be a high school teacher. That's right, I actually want to spend my life surrounded by teenagers! I'm pretty excited about it. I love being around people, learning about them and trying to understand them. I have been blessed to move around a lot in my life and because of this I have been able to meet a lot of interesting and inspiring people. I love people, but I also like to spend some time alone. I like reading and writing. I will write just about everything from journal entries to poems to stories to humorous raps about dating. I love going on road trips, and I love the outdoors. Being alone in nature fills me with the feeling that there is a God who loves and cares for me. I think that the beauty of this earth is one of the greatest witnesses we have that there is a God. Music is another. I love music and tend to sing just about everywhere I go. I play the violin, guitar, and some piano and cello. I love to try new things and I love to learn. I want to experience all there is to experience in life—the good and the bad. I also like tacos, laser tag, and dancing by myself way more than is normal.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have felt, time and time again, feelings of joy and peace witnessing to my soul that the doctrines and principles taught in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are true. I believe that these feelings are God's way of communicating with me and guiding me in my life. I am Mormon because everything I have ever experienced has taught me that there has to be a purpose for this life. The Gospel of Christ, which I have learned in this church, tells me what that purpose is. The Gospel of Christ gives me joy in this life and hope for an even better life in the world to come. It teaches me that families are eternal and helps me to focus my life on what is most important. I love this church and I love the many ways in which it has shaped me and continues to shape me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to keep the commandments both when I want to and when I don't. To me, living the Gospel is all about trusting in God and being persistent. This life is ours to live and we can make out of it what we will. I want to be able to return to God one day and tell Him that I never gave up no matter how tough things got. I want to be able to tell Him that I endured to the end and I hope to be able to tell Him that I did so joyfully. I live my faith by striving to uplift and serve others. I live my faith by studying the scriptures, praying, and attending church services. I live my faith by repenting when I don't do one or several of these things. I try to do better the next time. I live my faith by trusting in God. I live my faith by getting to know people and striving to develop the Christlike qualities that I see in them. But most of all, I just keep going. We aren't perfect, but if we just keep going, we're on our way to where we need to be.
