Hi I'm Andrew

I love basketball, wake-boarding, and skiing. I've lived in the US and France. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a consultant and husband to a beautiful wife. I love to ride my motorcycle, mountain-bike, wakeboard, and play basketball. I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I simply wanted to know if The Book of Mormon was true. I realized that if The Book of Mormon was true, then Joseph Smith was a prophet, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I was 17 when I decided to try the challenge in the back of The Book of Mormon (Moroni 10: 3-5) which talks about asking God personally. That made sense to me because if I want to know something, I need to go to the source and find out for myself. I did what the book says to try; I read the book, and asked God in faith. The feeling I had was a quiet calm feeling that I'd felt many other times in my life. It was a great reassurance that God loves me and that he speaks to us today. I know The Book of Mormon is true.

How I live my faith

I do my best to serve others around me. I am a home teacher to three wonderful families. I enjoy going to visit them at least once per month. They feel that they can call me when they need help. I also have the great opportunity to lead discussions during meetings at church. We discuss topics like how to be better husbands, how to live Christlike lives, and how to better serve people around us.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

I think I can answer this question by stating why I chose to be Mormon Missionary. I realized when I was 17 how much The Church meant to me. I know why I am here on earth, where I came from before this life and, what happens after this life. I think every human being has thought about those questions. As a missionary, I had the opportunity to share those beliefs and teach people about the meaning of life. The amazing thing was that I didn't expect everyone to take my word for it; I taught them that they could find out for themselves by praying and asking God just like I did when I was 17. It was amazing to see people's lives change for the better. Because I knew and saw what the gospel could do for someone, I wanted to share it with as many people as possible. So I chose to serve a mission when I was 19 years old. I left my motorcycle, my family, school, and my country to serve the people of France. It was the best decision of my life (except to marry my wife of course). Show more Show less
