Hi I'm Jordan Tolman

I am from Brigham City Utah. I do a lot of music stuff. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am from Brigham City Utah. I have lived here my whole life. I use to play soccer until my freshman year. Then I went into wrestling and did pretty well. It was the hardest school related thing I have ever done, but also one of the most rewarding. I love music. I have been playing the piano for eleven years now and have been teaching for five years. I recently picked up the accordion and have loved learning it. Sense i am leaving on my mission on the 28th of November I had my last recital with my students just the other day. I have loved teaching them, it has been wonderful. Because of that, I hope to be a school teacher when I finish college. I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It makes you give more than you think you can but always allows you to get back more than you put in. To me there is nothing more important than this church. I know it is true, and there is nothing out there that will make me question it.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that this church is the only completely true church on the earth. It is the only church that matches up with all the teachings taught in the scriptures. I have read the Book of Mormon and the Lord has allowed me to know for myself that it is a true record. As I read the Book of Mormon I feel closer to God than by reading anything else. Through the teachings of the church, I am able to learn who I really am. Knowing who I am has made a difference in my life and has helped me when faced with hard decisions. I am a Mormon because I know that everything taught is what the Savior taught during his ministry and by living those teachings I will once again live in the presence of my Father in Heaven and be with my family for eternity. I know that Jesus is the Christ and that he has once again restored all his teachings so that we can enjoy all the blessings he has for us. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that Joseph Smith was called as a prophet.

How I live my faith

I do a lot of service for the church food pantry. It is a great chance to meet people and help those in need. I am the ward missionary and the pianists. I think my favorite thing I have been able to do is be a seminary substitute. I have done it quite a few times and it is the best feeling ever, to see the kids come ready to learn, and see the light in there eyes as the start to understand new principals and see how they react to the spirit.

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

Jordan Tolman
Mothers and Fathers both have certain attributes that their children need in order to become who they are supposed to be. Neither is the man without the woman nor the woman without the man. Both are essential in each others lives. Marriage between a man and woman is what God has revealed as his plan for His families. His stand has not and never will change, and anything that could cause harm to that plan we do not support. Show more Show less
