Hi I'm Michael Woolf

I grew up in southern Alberta. I love sports and playing the piano. I served my mission in Nicaragua. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love playing all kinds of sports and have had many opportunities to coach. Teaching is a huge passion that I have and feel like I will always love teaching whether it is the gospel, sports, math, or Spanish. I also really enjoy music and have played the piano most of my life. I secretly love cooking and creating unique and new foods is something I really enjoy (mostly it is just trying different combinations of spices). I am outgoing and try to always have a smile on my face. Service is a big part of why I am always happy. I always try to find one way or another that I can help. I enjoy finding solutions to problems and its probably for that reason that I enjoy math so much. Being in the mountains is one of my most favorite places to be. It is just always so peaceful sitting at the top of a mountain look out at all that God has created.

Why I am a Mormon

It is simple, I love how I feel when I follow the commandments. I love knowing that Heavenly Father has a prophet on this world to guide and direct us today. Through the guidance of the Prophet and Apostles life seems much easier. Being happy is fun and being a Mormon has always made me happy. I have a strong testimony of having all the truth on the world again and keeping His church the same as it always has been. When I read the Book of Mormon I feel warm and comforted deep inside, for this reason I know that it is true.

How I live my faith

I have always enjoyed my callings and try my very best to fulfill them. I feel most confident and comfortable in teaching roles and love giving my class commitments when they leave my class. One thing that I have always been taught is that Hometeaching brings blessings, not only for the people you visit but also for yourself. I love hometeaching and very rarely miss a month if I can help it. Growing up in a Mormon community I found that it was easy to keep the basic commandments but raising the bar and trying to continually improve has always been a focus of mine. Working hard is also something that I have always been taught from my parents. Hard work is key to keeping myself focused on those things that are good. Over all I love how happy the church makes me and I feel awesome every time I am there.
