Hi I'm Zak Hazlett

I am a River Guide, an Athlete, a Full-time Missionary, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving a mission in the Argentina Buenos Aires West mission. I spend my summers working as a river rafting guide in Moab, UT and my Falls and Winters going to school at BYU. I enjoy just about every sport but if I had to choose favorites...I would pick Volleyball and Basketball. I love everything that involves being outside; running, hiking, biking, climbing, kayaking, camping, and Exploring. I have an amazing family with 9 members (including myself) and they are all my best friends and favorite adventure pals! Spending time with my siblings is my favorite pass-time.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a small town that wasn't heavily populated with Mormons. I spent a lot of time with friends that were not members of the church and as I got older, I began to realize that I had something that they didn't have. It wasn't necessarily something tangible, but it was something that made me different. I was always smiling no matter what the situation was and people would always ask, "Why are you so happy all the time?" I would always reply with the simple answer of, "Why shouldn't I be Happy?" Most of the time they would stop and think about what I said and reply with something like, "Well, we just got destroyed in our basketball game" or "my girlfriend just broke up with me" and I would just tell them, "There is always something positive in a negative situation...the trick is to look for it." I am so grateful for the teachings of this Gospel and the blessings we receive by following them. I am Mormon because the feeling I get when I am following the commandments and trying to become more like Christ is a feeling of Joy and Hope. It is a feeling that brings me "Happiness" and I love to be Happy!

How I live my faith

I live my Faith by Serving a mission to the best of my abilities and striving to be a good example to those around me. The service that I give as a missionary not only helps others to receive the blessings of this gospel and feel of God's love for all his children, but it helps me to strengthen my relationship with my Heavenly Father as well.

How can I find someone to talk with, in person, about the Mormon religion?

Zak Hazlett
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is growing so rapidly. There are members of the LDS church in numerous countries, every state in the United States of America, and nearly every town. Members everywhere are more than willing to have a friendly conversation with anyone who wants to learn more about this Gospel. There are also Missionaries that spend 2 years of their lives talking about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the blessings it has brought to them. Finding someone to talk to is as simple as finding a friend on Facebook. They are a couple clicks and a phone call away. Show more Show less
