Hi I'm Whitney

Soy misionera en la Patagonia de Argentina donde enseno del Evangelio de Cristo. Amo la vida que Dios me ha dado!

About Me

I've been in school for the last 3 years. I really want to be a dental hygienist but I haven't started to study dental work quiet yet. I dream of being a gourmet chef someday but sometimes I still burn my toast. I'm kind of an airhead but I love to laugh so it helps. I'm going to serve the people in Argentina for the next 18 months of my life. I have faith that God loves me very much and will lift me up to do great things.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was very young my parents told me that I had a brother named Jesus Christ who loved me and was very proud of me. That knowledge raised me to feel important. I grew older and faced trials and struggles that made me feel less important and inadequate. I soon realized that when I knelt down to pray and studied the Book of Mormon and the Bible, my trials were so much easier to bear. Like Christ literally took part of my trial and carried it himself. I could face the day with faith and hope. He lifts my burdens. The LDS church has given so much truth and knowledge.

How I live my faith

I'm a visiting teacher. That means that every month I go visit two different women from my neighborhood. Sometimes they really need someone to talk to or they need some help with something. I usually bring a message from the scriptures. We talk to each other about our faith and usually encourage each other. I love the women I visit. I see them a lot more then once a month because they've become my friends. I am also a primary teacher for the 8 year olds in church. All of the 8 year olds come to my class for an hour and I have a lesson prepared to help them understand Jesus Christ and his great love for them. I love teaching.
