Hi I'm Samantha

I'm a college student. I'm studying Public Relations. I will be moving to New York City to serve a mission in February.

About Me

I am a college student and I am studying Public Relations. I will be leaving in February to serve a mission in New York, New York. I enjoy scrap booking, crafting, interior decorating, and playing sports. I am a shopaholic and enjoy to accessorize. I am a clean freak and like things to be in order. I enjoy hanging out with friends and having fun with my family. I am an outdoors girl and enjoy riding four wheelers, camping, shooting, and boating.

Why I am a Mormon

I was not always a member of this church but because of friends I had in high school I was exposed to it. After attending meetings and learning of this gospel I decided it was something that I needed in my life. This gospel brings a love and joy into my life that I will never live without again. The plan of our church is a plan of happiness and joy that I would love for everyone to experience. This church has helped me to grow closer to my Savior and learn of his time here on Earth. I know that this church is true. I know that there is a living prophet on the Earth today that Heavenly Father communicates with. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that he restored the gospel on this Earth and restored priesthood keys to the Earth. I am so thankful for the things that this church has done for me in my life, and I am excited to move to New York City and spread the gospel to all those I meet.

How I live my faith

I participate in my ward by serving in the presidency of the woman's group. I do so by planning monthly activities for the woman to participate in that will help to strengthen their families, provide relief, and strengthen their faith. I provide service to woman in my group and visit them monthly to ensure their well being. I am currently preparing to serve a mission for my church in New York, New York and will be leaving in February.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Mormons help everyone. We believe in becoming more like Christ and in doing so we have love for all, even non-mormons. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

We believe that the Bible is Holy Scripture and is the word of God. Many think we do not believe this because we add an addition scripture called The Book of Mormon and because of this people think we do not believe in the Bible, but this is simple not true. We think that The Book of Mormon is an additional witness of Christ and the Bible and Book of Mormon work together to help strengthen each other. Show more Show less

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

As we keep the commandments that our Heavenly Father has placed and as we counsel with him in our prayers and learn to align our lives with his, we can grow to know him and grow closer to him. As I grow closer to my God my life is blessed and I feel of his love more fully. Show more Show less
