Hi I'm Jimmy Jolley

I am an HVAC Technician, I enjoy the outdoors, sports, and watching movies or playing games with friends and family.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Idaho. I am the middle child of three boys. I was raised by a single mother who worked very hard to provide for us. I enjoy participating in and watching; snow sports, water sports, running, and all other sports. I like to go hunting and camping with my family. I have a beautiful wife and two beautiful daughters. I love spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always known about Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father, but when I was growing up religion was not talked of or about. In high school I enjoyed being on the sports teams. When I was 17 I made friends with a group of Mormon kids. I noticed there was something different about these kids. As I became best friends with one of these Mormon kids he and his family taught me about the gospel of Jesus Christ and showed me the blessings of following the commandments of God. The example of these friends and there families made me want to live a better life. Now I have been a Mormon for ten years and I know that because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ my life has been blessed. It was no secret when I was a teenager that I was on the path of disaster, I was the worst of three brothers that did what they wanted when they wanted with very little parental guidance. Now I am the only one of the three of us that has never been to jail and I have a beautiful family that loves me and I love them.

How I live my faith

I am youth leader in my church, I teach a gospel lesson to 12 and 13 year old young men every Sunday, and help supervise activities on Wednesday evenings. I am also the Sunday school president so I oversee the Sunday school classes of all ages and assist the teachers when they need me. I am also a community garden chairman, I help decide what to plant, when to plant, and I inform people if weeds need pulled or food needs picked. I visit families that have been assigned to me as "home teaching families" I go to these families every month and share with them a spiritual message, I visit with them as friends and make sure all there needs are being met. I read the scriptures with my family and personally and I pray often.
