Hi I'm Brecken

I love music and making people smile. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a man of many passions. First off, I love music. I taught myself over a dozen instruments, and compose my own pieces. I have gone to Missouri State Music Festival for both band and choir. I never cared as much for the judges' rating, as I did for making the judge smile. I also love service. Doing something that makes someone smile, is the best feeling in the world. I have injured myself many times cutting firewood, repairing buildings, creating driveways, building fence, and digging ditches for people, but the smile and happiness that I see I have helped bring, is all worth it. But above all else, I love God, and His Son, Jesus Christ. I have spent many afternoons in high school, just talking about the miracles in life with my friends, who most of the time, didn't believe the same things I did. The Savior's love touches all, and is a blessing in everyone's lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have had many opportunities to go to other churches. They have all been wonderful services, and always have a really great message centered on Christ, but each time I go to another church, I can't help but feel that something is off, from the atmosphere of the congregation, to the way a pastor of one church interprets the bible differently that another pastor of the same faith. Every time I return to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a wonderful feeling of peace and belonging fills my heart, and I know I'm where I'm supposed to be. The gospel of Jesus Christ helps me to be not only a better person, but a healthier person. I do not smoke, drink, partake of illegal drugs or narcotics, curse, or turn away those in need, because of the love I have for Jesus and God, that I have gained through the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I work in the hospitality business, and deal with a great variety of people. I always strive to help anyone in anyway possible, from giving a tour, or talking to an elderly couple, to helping unload vehicles, or starting campfires. Making people happy, is what I love to do, whether it is at work, school, in town, or even just a neighbor. When Sunday comes, I have the blessing of interacting with children ages 3-12, and later teaching the children from ages 8-12, about faith, prayer, the scriptures, and the love that our Father in heaven has for each and every one of us. Seeing the children's innocence and pure love for those those they care for, is such a blessing in my life.
