Hi I'm Morgan

I'm a BYU student and I'm preparing to serve a mission in Salt Lake City! I'm a Mormon!!

About Me

Hello, my name is Morgan and I am a sophomore in college! I am planning on majoring in Business Management and going into the business world until it's time for me to settle down and raise a family. I have many passions in life. One of which is sports. I love to play all sports, but I am slightly biased to volleyball. I also love to be outdoors! Nature is such a beautiful thing and I just love being in it! Also I love to be with my family! I love them so much and am so grateful that I get to be with them forever! And lastly I am very passionate about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am a Mormon!!!!!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this is the church that Jesus Christ brought to the earth. And while I was raised in the church, I didn't receive that knowledge the day I was born. As I have grotten older, I have had to discover, for myself, if this is the true church. And as I've come to realize my own testimony, I have discovered that a testimony isn't something that just comes at one moment and isn't something that has an ending point. I realized this in the summer between my freshman and sophomore year in college my family had the opportunity to be members of the Hill Cummorah Pageant Cast. The Hill Cummorah Pageant is an outdoor production that shows some of the main stories in the Book of Mormon and finishes with the story of Joseph Smith and how the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was restored to the earth. The pageant is done in Palmyra, New York where Joseph Smith lived when he prayed to God to know which church to join. And the grove where he went to pray, called the Sacred Grove, is still there with pathways to walk through and contemplate what actually happened there. So while my family was participating the pageant, I had the opportunity to go the grove and to just sit and think. I prayed, as Joseph Smith did, to know the truth. And as I prayed, I realized that God had already told me, many times. A testimony is something that takes time, but if we put our faith if God, He will reveal the truth a piece at a time. Truth such as this can never come all at once, it must be put together a piece at a time. Sometimes we are given larger pieces and we think we are so close to completing the puzzle, but as we continue to learn we realize just how big the puzzle is. When I walked into the Sacred Grove to gain that knowledge, I was looking for the final piece, but when I left I realized that I was no where neer the end. I have much, much more to learn, but it's ok because that's what this life is for.

How I live my faith

I am currently a member of the Family History and Temple Welfare committee. With this calling I will be able to learn more about Family Search, the program that we can do our Family History work. And I think my favorite part about the calling is the idea that I get to invite others to come to the temple. I love the temple dearly! I am so grateful I have the opportunity to go every week and feel of the spirit inside the Lord's House. It gives me the spiritual boost I need to push me to choose the right throughout the week in order to keep the spirit with me. Along with the temple, reading the scriptures and praying daily help me to increase my faith and remind me to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ Daily! I know that Jesus Christ came to this earth and atoned for my sins. I know that His love for us is a love that we can never fully comprehend in this life. And because He has that great love for us, He was willing to be crucified and die so that we can repent of our sins. I know that what my Savior did for me will be something that I can never repay, all I can do is put my faith in Him and give my all to Him.
