Hi I'm Krissy

I love Harry Potter, can't get enough Oreos, I play college tennis, and I AM A MORMON!:)

About Me

I am a bubbly, active, feisty girl who likes to laugh (a lot). I am a competitive ping-pong player, I enjoy wake boarding (and anything else that can be done behind a boat) playing the piano, rock climbing and being with my family. I love Oreos, and make, quite possibly the greatest homemade ones EVER! But when I don't have the time, I prefer double stuffed with a glass of milk. I am a Harry Potter geek and LOOOOOVVVEEE all the books and movies! I am currently a Sophomore in college where I am studying Human Communications......for now. I am hoping to one day get my Masters and be a Marriage and Family therapist. I've spent the last year and a half as a collegiate tennis player, traveling to Colorado, Arizona, and California to compete. I have absolutely loved my college tennis experience, but recently signed back my contract to serve a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Chile! BOOYAH!!

Why I am a Mormon

Let's be honest, this world is a little nuts. It's easy to get stressed, overwhelmed, and feel like no one understands. I find such comfort knowing that I have a loving Heavenly Father who I can pray to whenever I feel like I can't handle things on my own. He always seems to send me experiences, people, and opportunities at the perfect time, that teach me exactly what I need to know at the given time. I know that I can pray to Him about anything, big or small, or even about something I consider to be insignificant, and know that He will answer sincerely after listening intently because He loves me and I am His daughter. I know my Savior, Jesus Christ loves me. That's why He atoned for our sins and was crucified. Knowing someone loves me that much, enough to die for me, gives me so much comfort. He knows everything I've been through and everything I will go through. I am the happiest person alive! And it's not because I am a full-time college student or because I am a college athlete. It's because I KNOW my Savior LIVES! I know this is HIS church! I KNOW God hears and answers my prayers! THE CHURCH IS TRUE!!!!!:)

How I live my faith

As a busy college student/athlete, it can be pretty difficult to find the time for extra activities. But, the Lord has always provided the time and opportunities for me to make my faith a part of my life every day. I am able to attend Institute classes with fellow students my age, where we can learn more from the experiences of each other, and study the scriptures together and learn by the Spirit. I participate in my ward by attending weekly family home evenings, visiting teaching to my sisters, and attending my weekly meetings. I am lucky to live close to the temple, where I can just walk around the grounds at anytime and enjoy the peace and quiet. I am also able to live my faith at the bench of a piano. Playing and singing the hymns has been such a large part of my life. Music helps me stay in tune with my Heavenly Father and recognize when He is helping me.
