Hi I'm Anna

I'm an educator. I'm an advocate. I love hot chocolate. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated from BYU with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I teach swimming lessons in the summers. I love running. I am a CASA volunteer. I love to read and am always looking for good recommendations. I have a beautiful little sister, awesome brothers and amazing parents. I love cooking dinner with a group of friends. I love music, documentaries, and a good political debate. I like to stay up talking late at night. I'm going to live in Romania and Moldova for a year and a half to serve the people there and teach them about the faith that has changed my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have seen the peace and happiness that the gospel has brought into the lives of those who are committed to following the principles it teaches. I want to have that happiness in my life all the time! Because of this desire, I decided to read the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other volumes of scripture and pray to know of their truthfulness. Through the feelings of peace that I have received, I know that they truly testify that God loves me and is aware of me individually. I know that that God loves us enough to call a prophet today to lead and guide us as He did in Biblical times. As I continue to seek guidance from the scriptures and follow the counsel of my Heavenly Father and those whom He has called, I have found a peace and happiness in my life that changes the way I view myself, those around me, and the challenges I face.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by knowing that God loves me and has a plan for my life -- one that is way better than any plan I could come up with on my own. I feel that it is important for me to stay close to my Heavenly Father and my Savior by reading the scriptures and praying for help with specific challenges that I face. Because I know that our Heavenly Father loves everyone so much, I strive to be an example of that love to those I meet. Right now, I teach the 3 and 4 year-olds at our church about following Jesus Christ. I feel like this is a big responsibility! My students are the BEST example of Christlike love and have taught me to become a better disciple of Jesus Christ.
