Hi I'm Aubrey
I love music. I love skiing. I love laughing. I love people. And I'm a Mormon.
I grew up in Utah in a pretty average family. I love spending time with my siblings and my parents. I love doing anything in the outdoors - biking, skiing, boating, hiking, or anything else with family and friends. I also love music. I can't even count the hours I've spent listening to music, playing my ukulele or piano, singing, and even writing a little bit. I don't think I could survive without music. I love anything that makes me laugh - movies, photos, conversations with friends, even random occurrences in public. I am a big fan of being happy. I try to keep a constant smile on my face, no matter what's happening in my day. I am currently a college student, studying to be a high school social studies teacher. I absolutely love learning about psychology and I have an overall deep love for learning. I'm doing my best to enjoy my life while being the best I can be.
I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, but don't think that means I don't have my own personal faith in it. I grew up in Utah, surrounded by a dense population of Mormons. I was always determined to find out for myself if the gospel I had always been taught was actually true. I wanted to be positive that I wasn't leaning on the faith of anyone else. I wanted to be absolutely sure that if I ever had to stand alone, I would be able to. I struggled with it through all of high school, but today I can confidently say that I know for myself that God is real and that this is His church on the earth today. I know that if you just look at life with the right eyes, you can see God's hands shaping everything in a perfect way that could never be due to chance. I am constantly overwhelmed with how blessed I am. I am so blessed to know my Savior, Jesus Christ, and to know that he sacrificed everything for me. I am a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is God's church today. I won't ever be able to explain exactly how I know, but I can testify that anyone who reads the Book of Mormon and prays with a true desire to know will feel its truth. I have felt it numerous times in my life and I will never be able to deny these experiences. I love the Lord and I know He loves me. That's why I'm a Mormon.
Scripture study every morning. This is the most valuable part of my day. I know, without any doubts, that reading the scriptures can powerfully influence your life for the better. I do my best to keep all the commandments of the Lord found in the scriptures and given by His prophets today. I do my best to answer questions of those not of my faith, and I attempt to be an example of Jesus Christ. I try every day to emulate Him by loving and serving those around me. I'm doing my best, and that's all I can do.
