Hi I'm Emily

I am a small-town girl. I'm a college student at BYU-Idaho, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student, and I'll be graduating with my bachelors degree in English in April of this year. I love school, and I'm excited to go on to get a masters degree to become a high school English teacher. I love to read, write, ballroom dance, and spend time with my family and friends. I'm just a small-town girl living in the United States, and I love life!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this church to be true with all of my heart. It's not because I've seen a vision or anything, but I feel of its truth deep inside. I am a Mormon because I know that there is no other better way to live. I am a Mormon because I would be lost without my Savior and my faith to sustain me through the hard times. I am a Mormon because this church is God's church. I am a Mormon because being a Mormon makes me so very happy, and I don't know any other better way to find peace and strength than in belonging to the church of a Father in Heaven who loves me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a little better every day. I am surrounded by wonderful, faithful people, and it can be hard to feel motivated to improve when everyone around you is already so good. So I try to find ways to be better inside myself so that I can, in turn, help someone else. I try to do what I know is right, and when I don't know I pray to my Heavenly Father and He is always there for me.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Emily
Pray to our Heavenly Father. If you ask with real sincerity, with the intent that if He answers you that you will act on His answer, He WILL confirm the truthfulness of the gospel. It will be a feeling of peace and joy in your heart. Its not something that anyone can really describe better than a comforting, happy, hopeful sensation until you have felt it for yourself. When you do feel the confirmation that this church is His, you will know. Show more Show less
