Hi I'm Charlotte Westover

I love Broadway and Theatre, I am obsessed with the Disney movie "Frozen," and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of 5 girls. My family has always loved singing and music and we often get to perform in different venues and settings. I have been accepted into BYU - Idaho and will attend after I return from my mission. I have recently been called to serve as a missionary in the Pittsburgh Pennyslvania mission and I couldn't be more excited! I love Disney and am ridiculously obsessed with the film "Frozen." My best friend and I actually dress up and perform as Anna and Elsa at birthday parties as a part of my fathers entertainment business. I dream to someday be on broadway somewhere and to teach theatre in a high school setting after college!

Why I am a Mormon

My conversion story is a little different because I have always been a member of this church. As time progressed, I would find myself doubting everything that I had been taught throughout my life in the church. How could I really know if what I've been taught is true? I went to Nauvoo Illinois one summer for a family reunion. Nauvoo is where the early saints of the church settled for a while until they were violently driven out and forced to leave. Being in that place really changed my life because as I stood in this small town, I felt so strongly that everything that I was told about Nauvoo, was real. The spirit of those who had once lived there was real and alive. They knew the church was true and so they were willing to sacrifice everything for it. So many of those early saints lost family members and suffered great loss themselves for this church and gospel. Their faith strengthens mine. Because of their great sacrifice, I have everything that I have today. In return, all I can do is share what I know to be true, and to serve as Jesus Christ did. I'm a Mormon. I know it, I live it, I love it!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by participating in callings given to me in the church. I help conduct music in meetings and play the piano or sing whenever asked to do so. Music helps me to feel closer to the spirit and it is a great reminder of my worth and purpose. I try to keep the spirit with me at all times so that I can be prepared to receive inspiration that will help me to make better decisions and will lead me down the path the Heavenly Father wants me to go. I also teach youth with my parents about the dangers and traps set for us in our day. This mainly consists of talking about the dangers of pornography and how to utilize the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ to become whole again. It is such a blessing!
