Hi I'm Devri

I'm a small town Idaho girl. I love to play sports, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a senior in college studying to become a high school math teacher. I love to play all sports, but basketball is by far my favorite. Water skiing and snow skiing are also some of my favorite things to do. My family is very close, and we love spending time together. I recently received a call to serve in the Philippines Quezon City mission, and will be leaving at the end of February.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer, and that He atoned for my sins, weaknesses, and shortcomings. Through this Atonement, I can become clean and be able to return to live with Him some day. I can overcome those weaknesses that I have, and turn them into strengths. I know that He loves me, and everyone, so much more than we will ever be able to comprehend. He wants to help us in any way He can. I've read the Book of Mormon many times, and as I read, ponder, and pray about it's words, I feel in my heart that it is the word of God. I know that through the prophet Joseph Smith, the Savior restored His church to the earth. We have a living prophet today, Thomas S. Monson, who leads and guides us through revelation from the Lord. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ's church, I believe that with all my heart. And that is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have had the opportunity to teach several different classes at church. I love being able to share the Gospel with those around me and learn from them and be strengthened by their testimonies. I've also been able to serve in presidencies of groups in my wards. It has been a blessing to me to be able to be in a leadership position where I can get to know each member of my group and build relationships with them.
