Hi I'm Matthew

I grew up in Lindon, Utah. I helped students graduate from high school and work towards attending college. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student studying Occupational Therapy. Occupational Therapy is helping people get back to the things that are meaningful for them by overcoming physical and cognitive hindrances. I enjoy reading books, singing, dancing, and making things with my hands. I have had the opportunity to participate in the Boy Scouts of America and have received the rank of an Eagle Scout. I also had the opportunity to be a tutor while in high school and help other students accomplish their goals.

Why I am a Mormon

I was actually born to parents who were both Mormon. However, I have a testimony of my own that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church and is Christ's gospel. I have grown to love the message of love and hope that His gospel brings. It is an amazing gift to know that when I make mistakes, they can be forgiven. It's also important for me to know that when a loved one dies, that I will see them again someday. Knowing that there is something after death helps me be willing to live my life to the fullest and not be afraid to get close to people and build lasting relationships. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping those around me. I am currently part of a Service group in my Ward. I have been able to organize a school supply collection to help those in other countries that don't have those supplies. I have also been able to make quilts for patients at Primary Children's Hospital. Each patient receives a quilt when they start treatment and they can keep the quilt when they go home. I have also had the opportunity to plan activities for other youth my age as part of many church callings. I have also always tried to make it a priority to complete my Home Teaching. Home Teaching gives me the opportunity to help families in the ward with the things that they need.
