Hi I'm Bryn

I know Heavenly Father loves me. I know Jesus Christ is my savior. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student working toward a degree in midwifery! I am passionate about my work and I'm excited to be able to make a difference in the world by helping mothers to bring their babies into the world. I love to run, and just finished my first half marathon, which I got to run with my dad. I am an only child, and I'm very close with my parents as it's always been just the three of us. My parents had a son before me who died before I was born. I know that by faithfully living the gospel of Jesus Christ I will be with him one day. Despite our separation by earth and heaven, I feel like I have a close relationship with him through spiritual experiences I've had with the spirit of the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this is Jesus Christ's pure gospel on the earth. I have read the Book of Mormon multiple times and each time I read it, I feel such a powerful confirmation of my Heavenly Father's love for me, and his deep desire that I be happy. That is the purpose of his gospel- Our happiness. I know that everything the Lord does in this world and in our lives is for our good and for our ultimate happiness- including trials and hard times. It's not always immediately apparent, and some trials we will not see the purpose of until we are one day reunited with our Father in Heaven. But that's why we're here on this earth: to grow and gain experience. As we experience growth that can sometimes be painful, the Lord will never leave us alone in it. He is always guiding us, watching over us, and protecting us. I know that The Lord moves with a purpose and he is intensely aware of us as individuals. I love my Heavenly Father and my savior Jesus Christ. I am so thankful and blessed to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

Through the Gospel of Jesus Christ I have developed a love for service. I know that if Jesus were to be where I am today, he would be serving the people. I want to do what he would do, and what I know he would have me do. I volunteer as a director of an organization that provides free ACT prep classes and college preparation resources through the public school system for youth who are homeless or living in poverty. I've travelled to Central America with a humanitarian aid group that gives medical care to people in rural areas that don't normally have access to surgeries or doctors. I know that EVERYTHING that Heavenly Father puts in our lives is for our happiness. Even our trials! He knows that when we come out on the other side of whatever hard times he allows us to experience, we will be better and happier! I have experienced this time and time again in my life. Because of this, I'm not afraid of life. I'm excted for it every day, because I know that as I live the guidelines for a happy life that God has given us- his commandments!- I will always be happy, even when things are hard. I know that that is his work and his glory, to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man- to make us happy now and in the eternities!
