Hi I'm Cambrea

I'm from Chicago, I sing, play flute, and love basketball. I will be a missionary in Puerto Rico, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Chicago where everything is fast-paced and beautiful. I am now a college student at BYU-Idaho and I absolutely love it there. I am taking a break for 18 months to serve a mission in Puerto Rico for my Savior. Besides my love for my Savior, I have a great love for music. I play the flute in the University Band at BYU-Idaho and I also love to sing. I also love crafts and Pinterest!

Why I am a Mormon

As a teenager I went through many trials that required much faith and a reliance on my Savior Jesus Christ and his atonement. As I have grown up and gone to college I have realized his hand in my life. The gospel of Jesus Christ is something that has saved me, and helped me reach my full potential. I am Mormon by choice. Not because my parents are, but because I want to receive the blessings that come with being a member of The Church. I know that the only way to receive these blessings is to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I grew up in Chicago, and that was not always easy when your standards do not match the world's. However, I know that as I live my standards and my faith, I am being an example to those around me. I can testify that because as I followed the standards the church has set, and my own personal standards, I learned that I was a beacon of light and I was happy with who I was becoming. In everything I do, I try to become more like my Savior every day and lift others up by example.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Cambrea
We are a service oriented church. Christ served everyone during his ministry on the earth. We believe that we must do the same. While the leaders of our church are not paid, they not only bless other's lives, but their lives are blessed because of their service. Show more Show less
