Hi I'm Sarah
I grew up in Vermont, I am a Certified Nursing Assistant, and I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I am a wife and mother and enjoy watching my daughter as she grows and learns. I love to go on adventures with her and help her explore! I am an avid reader and enjoy crocheting and other arts and crafts. I also enjoy going on hikes with my husband and being in nature.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because of the growing understanding I have gained about Jesus Christ and His Atonement through the gospel. When I was 18 I moved out of my home while I was still in high school and moved in with a family who were Latter Day Saints, or "Mormons". They taught me some about the gospel and I decided to take lessons from the missionaries. I was baptized on November 20th, 2009 and confirmed a member of the church November 21st, 2009. Then I met my husband my senior year of high school, and we dated and I helped him to learn about the Gospel and he was baptized as well. We were married July 2010 and moved cross country to Utah for education, but I was pregnant and unable to go to school, so we took a year off in preparation for our daughter. After moving to Utah my husband became inactive and then I did as well for about 7 months. In October 2011, I decided to find out if I could prove the Gospel wrong, and everything I looked up in the Book of Mormon, I could find in the Bible. I prayed and received answers to the things I was struggling with, and have been active for over a year now. I received my endowments July 14th, 2012 and have been living an active life in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, because I know that God loves me and that Jesus lives and watches out for us no matter what our current spiritual state is.
How I live my faith
In my ward I help plan activities for the women. I help think of fun things for them to do once a month, such as a Halloween party or a self defense class. I visit teach three women with my visiting teaching partner, we make sure they and their families are doing well and help them if they need anything. I help serve others in the community by participating in my calling on the activities committee, and through my job as a Certified Nursing Assistant. I feel blessed to be able to help others who are in need and show the love of Christ through my job.
