Hi I'm Erica

I'm A Cosmetologist by day, a Karaoke Host by night, and I'm a Mormon 24-7.

About Me

I am in my late thirties, I love to sing and listen to music. I feel that I am creative, by day I work as a nail technician at a local salon, & day spa but most of my clients come to me because they like my nail art and I suppose they are entertained by my "larger than life" personality, as I love to laugh and carry on, I also enjoy a good cry and sometime even a swift kick in the derriere when needed. At Night, I run my own Karaoke Business and am often in very un-spiritual places, but it gives me an opportunity to be an example to others that anyone can still be a light in the darkest situations. Things that I am 24-7? A Mormon, a mom, a wife, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, and a really good friend. All of these things make me the person that I am today. Being a mom of 4 children, ages ranging from 11-18 brings challenges of their own, but I love my life and thankful for all of my blessings and hardships, because through the hardships, I get stronger.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a teenager, a great family came into my life and impacted me with their testimonies. They had all grown up in the LDS Church and came from a long line of Mormons. The Cummings family shared the Gospel with me and I read the Book of Mormon and felt in my heart that the book was true. My testimony became strong only recently, when I came back to the church after 18 years of inactivity and MANY hardships. I am a Mormon now, because I know that this Church is true, with Jesus Christ in my life, I am whole and know the road that I am on is paved with God's blessings. Without Jesus Christ in my life, my life was nothing but misery and struggle.

How I live my faith

I wake up in the mornin' feelin' like P. Diddy... JK! Actually, I start my days with family prayer as I am heading off to work, and the kiddos are on their way out the door to school, and my husband arrives home from his graveyard shift, we all take a few moments to stop and pray. We do this in the evening when the day is coming to a close. We go to church on Sundays and enjoy fellowship and lessons about the gospel of Jesus Christ.
