Hi I'm Emily

I'm a student. I'm a sister. I'm a friend. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love to sing and pretend I can dance! I play the piano and have a deep love for music. I got to a University several hours away from my home town and I love it! My education is very important to me, and I work hard at it. I have 6 people in my family (including me), a biological brother that isn't much younger than me, an adopted brother that is way younger than me, and an adoptive sister who is way, way younger than me! I love them to death! I'd like to think I have a good sense of humor, but who knows! I love to make people laugh and smile, and it's probably my favorite hobby.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that this church is true because I've read the Book of Mormon and have prayed about it, and I have received a knowing in my heart that it is true. I know that Thomas S. Monson is prophet for these days and is a true one, his words give me hope and inspiration, and I know I have been blessed for living them. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me, and as I pray and read the scriptures His love for me is evident and it let's me know that I am a daughter of a king. I know Christ too loves me, and that He died for me. He is the reason this church can bring so much joy to others and to myself. I know how it feels to sin, but through His Atonement I also know how it feels to be forgiven. It's the most amazing feeling in the world, and if you haven't tried it, you must! I know that this church is true and I'm so glad I'm a member of it!

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a full-time mission in Argentina. I love being able to let other's know that they are loved by their Father in Heaven and their brother, Jesus Christ. I also love to share this gospel because I can see the joy that it brings to their life. I love being a witness of Christ and getting to share happiness and joy with my brothers and sisters. This work is amazing and I love this opportunity to serve my brothers and sisters.

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

Emily
At this time our prophet has not told us to practice polygamy, and the members of the church were commanded to stop practicing plural marriage in the 1800's. Members of our church no longer practice polygamy, and those who do practice it are not Mormon's. Show more Show less
