Hi I'm Blake Schiess

I am a returned missionary. I love my Savior Jesus Christ. His church is true!

About Me

I am from Manti Utah. I am the middle child of five boys in my family. I was born in Everett Washington. I was raised mostly in Fairbanks Alaska, and then down in central Utah. I recently returned in December 2014 as a full time missionary in the Washington Everett Mission. My father owns a construction business, so i have been raised building houses. I enjoy working on cars, trucks, motorcycles, ect. From this i have developed a love for building, and fixing things. Being raised in Alaska, i have lived very close to the outdoors. I love hiking, mountain biking, skiing, Jeeping, and pretty much anything that involves being outside in the wilderness. Starting in January 2015 I will be attending Weber State University for school as well as to play on the football team.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both very active members of the church and have always been. So i was raised in the church, but that is not why i am a member of the church. I know that this is the true church, i know of this my self. I have put to the test the promises of the lord in reading the book of mormon and praying asking god if it is true. I have received my answer, through the power of the Holy Ghost. I know that it is true because by living it, it has blessed my life and brought me closer to Christ then i could ever be any other way. I have also seen the power that living the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the lives of those that i have taught on my mission. As well as the changes that it brings about in their lives. I know this is the truth as restored by God to his holy prophets.

How I live my faith

For the last two years as a missionary i spent all my time proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ. It takes a lot of effort and commitment to spent two years out talking to people, inviting them to listen to the message that you have to share. But it is totally worth it. I have seen many peoples lives changed for good. Most of all i have seen a huge change in my life, and in my personal conversion as a missionary. Now as a returned missionary I will continue to live my faith my regularly attending my Church meetings and serve others where ever i can.
