Hi I'm Emilee

I grew up in Saudi Arabia. I have seen the gospel of Christ change lives in many parts of the world. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I lived the first half of my childhood in Anchorage, Alaska and then moved to Saudi Arabia at age 9 where I lived until I graduated High School. I was blessed to attend international schools and have friends from every corner of the world. I truly believe that every person on this Earth is a child of God. I attended Brigham Young university where I studied elementary education. Through my schooling and teaching experiences I have had the opportunity to touch the lives of children and understand the innate goodness each of us is born with. I was married in the Timpanogos LDS temple where I was sealed to a worthy priesthood holder, valiant latter-day saint, and hardworking man. We live in California and are so excited to welcome a baby boy into our home in early February.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I have prayed to my Heavenly Father to know if this is his true religion on the Earth. I have received a strong confirmation that it is. Not only do I honestly and deeply believe that this is the church Christ established on the Earth, I also see the happiness it gives me and those around me. I feel the Holy Ghost guiding my actions and words each day as I live righteously. I feel the forgiveness I have been promised at I repent of my sins and try hard every day to improve myself. Without the comfort and guidance I receive from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I may not have made the decisions that have brought me the most happiness such as keeping my body free from addiction, choosing an eternal companion to spend my life with and care for me each and everyday. I would not have the confidence to raise righteous children in the turbulent world. I would not have faith, comfort, and happiness despite the trials that come my way. I am a Mormon because I have a firm testimony of the healing power and happiness that comes with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith throughout everyday. I begin my day by praying to my Heavenly Father for support, strength and good judgement. I keep a prayer of faith in my heart during the day and hope to be a comfort and help to those I come in contact with. I end my days by reading the scriptures and learning from the experiences of prophets and those who came before me. I pray for my needs, my hopes, I show gratitude. I also pray and read scriptures with my husband daily which brings us closer together and closer to our beliefs. On Sundays I teach the 11 year old Sunday school class. These kids are amazing examples of the strength and happiness the Gospel of Jesus Christ gives us in our lives. These children have made decisions early that will impact their future such as refraining from alcohol, drugs, & immoral activities. They have also taken upon themselves the name of Christ and try to live every day as he would have; honestly, kindly, & faithfully.

What is faith?

Emilee
Faith is never doubting the truth you receive from answers to prayer. It is believing that God has a plan for you and will give you the trials, blessings, and experiences which will make you a strong person, able to overcome anything with his help and ready to help others throughout this life and the next.
