Hi I'm Chelsy

I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. I am studying Accounting at Southern Utah University. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am just a regular 23 year old Junior in college. Studying accounting has always ben something that I have wanted to do. I grew up in Salt Lake City and enjoy playing tennis and piano. I love to watch movies and have fun. I was vice-president of the club Future Business Leaders of America. I attend many conferences and loved it. I have gone sky-diving and lived in Bolivia for a while. I love to travel and hope to see different parts of the world someday.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I choose to be. I chose a while ago to live the gospel because I felt in my heart that it is what I needed to do. Everyday I receive another confirmation or answer of Heavenly Father guiding me. I have always been able to see His hand guiding me through life's many decisions. Being a Mormon also helps me understand what I have, who I am, and what my future holds. It helps me to be thankful even when trials come. It truly gives me happiness. I am so thankful to be a Mormon, because I know that it is true. I know that our Heavenly Father is always there to help us. He hears our prayers and helps us. I know that Christ lives and that He knows us by name. He wants us to be happy. This knowledge is the reason that I am a Mormon. I want to follow Christ.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is very important to me. I participate by serving others. I love to help people and see the smiles that appear on their faces. I teach my peers about Jesus Christ and how to become better people. I also try to be an example. I always stand up for what I believe in. Trying to be positive is also something that I love to do because Jesus Christ is a part of my life.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Chelsy
Authority has always been a part of Christ's church, since the beginning of time. Authority is so important. For instance, if you are driving down the street and a cop pulls you over. You pull over because you know that the police officer has the proper authority to pull you over. Any other person, like a ice cream truck driver, can't pull you over because they lack the authority. The authority is here on the earth again to bless our lives and to help us so that we will be able to return to our Heavenly Father again. One way that this authority help us, is through baptism. Not just anyone can claim to have the proper authority to baptize someone. It has to be through the proper authority. That is why our Heavenly Father blessed us so much by putting it back on the earth. Show more Show less
