Hi I'm Eric

I grew up in Utah. I went to the University of Utah - not BYU. I currently work in the entertainment industry. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college graduate with a Masters degree. I am married and have four children. I like to golf, fish, and spend time with my family. Through my job I have been to nine Super Bowls and walked on the field, have been on TV, have been in the company of every living past President of the United States, and work with Hollywood stars and musicians often. I was trained in live theatre but mostly do live events now. I married my sweetheart 25 years ago after meeting her at college.

Why I am a Mormon

My ancestors became Mormons in the early beginnings of the church. They sacrificed much for their belief, some lost their inheritance and were dis-owned. All sacrificed in some in way because of their new-found faith. They crossed the plains as pioneers, some walking the entire way. I respect and honor them. I didn't always follow every teaching of the church when I was younger but I found through trial and error that I was happier when I lived the teachings found in the church. I hear about how hard it must be to be a Mormon from my friends and co-workers but I am free from the types of things that make their life so much more difficult. I read the Book of Mormon with the intent to really find out for myself if it is true. I prayed and felt such a peaceful, warm feeling and a peace in my mind that it is true. I have not ever questioned why I remain a Mormon after that and other, more personal experiences. I just know that I am!

How I live my faith

I attend church each week (when I am not out of town on a job) and have served in several callings, such as in the Young Mens & Scouting programs, Men's organization leadership, and with the Bishopric who leads our Ward. I attend church as often as I can while traveling. I'm the designated driver to all my friends who are not Mormons and they know to not offer me things to eat and drink that they know I do not partake of because of my membership in the church.
